As we were leaving the Park and driving down the road alongside Mt Rushmore, looking up only the solitary carving of George Washington could be seen. I thought it worth capturing.
George Washington; February 22, 1732 ( February 11, 1731 ￿ December 14, 1799) was an American politician and soldier who was an American politician and soldier who served as the first President of the United States from 1789 to 1797 and was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He served as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and later presided over the 1787 convention that drafted the United States Constitution. He is popularly considered the driving force behind the nation's establishment and came to be known as the "father of the country," both during his lifetime and to this day.- Wikipedia

Marcia Breznay

Growing up, I was surrounded, on both sides of my family, by artists of all genres. Graphic artists, painters, in oil and acrylic, photographers, musicians, quilters, sculptors. This instilled an interest and excitement for art that I was only able to pursue from time to time throughout my life. Now, recently retired, I have rediscovered that enthusiasm and have time to pursue what I love through the mediums of watercolor, alcohol ink, charcoal and photography. While I have had no formal training, I have learned a great deal from a wonderful artist and teacher at our local community college whose encouragement and love of all art has given me wings and for that I am eternally grateful.
