Window seats can be interesting. As we were flying over a cloudy sky, I noticed the morning light was casting a shadow of the plane onto the clouds below us. Interesting I thought, but then I noticed a rainbow encircling the shadow. Now that was really interesting and also reassuring!
Further research explains the rainbow is called an aureole;
any encircling ring of light or color; halo.

Growing up, I was surrounded, on both sides of my family, by artists of all genres. Graphic artists, painters, in oil and acrylic, photographers, musicians, quilters, sculptors. This instilled an interest and excitement for art that I was only able to pursue from time to time throughout my life. Now, recently retired, I have rediscovered that enthusiasm and have time to pursue what I love through the mediums of watercolor, alcohol ink, charcoal and photography.
