Lovely and great title, and I also love the angle of shot and the comparison of the two florals. Nicely done and presented Marcia! It is with great pride and pleasure that I showcase this beautiful piece of your art work on the HOMEPAGE of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group site. I believe your works to be well composed, masterfully displayed, and a true joy to view. Thanks for sharing your talents with our members of WFS group and all members on FAA. Your excellence sets a standard to be proud of. LIKED and FAVED Forever, Elvis

Artist's Description

A fresh bloom alongside it's faded partner.
...........................................................................................................................
Euryops pectinatus is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to South Africa.[1] It is a vigorous evergreen shrub growing to 1 m (3 ft 3 in) tall and wide, with silvery green, hairy leaves and yellow, daisy-like composite flowers.
E. pectinatus is widely used as a garden plant, especially in urban areas, because of its hardiness and its almost perpetual flowering regime. It grows best in full sun and well-drained deep soils. It must be grown in a sheltered location, away from frost-prone areas. - Wikipedia

This instilled an interest and excitement for art that I was only able to pursue from time to time throughout my life. Now, recently retired, I have rediscovered that enthusiasm and have time to pursue what I love through the mediums of watercolor, alcohol ink, charcoal and photography. While I have had no formal training, I have learned a great deal from a wonderful artist and teacher at our local community college whose encouragement and love of all art has given me wings and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you find...
