Description
Ravens are acrobats in the sky. They surf updrafts, fly upside down and even turn somersaults, just because they can.
They have a vast repertoire of 100 or more vocalizations. With their deep voice, ravens can mimic human speech and singing, As in the poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe the bird’s ability to speak is revealed throughout the poem as the raven says “nevermore.” This particular bird had an icy stare as he posed for me before taking off into the canyon.
The common raven, also known as the northern raven, is a large all-black passerine bird. Found across the Northern Hemisphere, it is the most widely distributed of all corvids. Wikipedia
